Nokia X
Nokia India has started sending out invites to a press event, where the company will be introducing its Nokia X-series of Android smartphones. The company will be hosting this press event on March 10 but as stated on Mobile Store website, the actual sales might begin March 15.
Unveiled at Mobile World Congress last month, Nokia X-series smartphones include Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL phones, which run on a forked version of Android 4.1.2. These phones pack dual-SIM support, 3G, dual-core processor, and WVGA display.
Nokia X will be the first phone to go on sale in India, followed by X+ and XL. The phones are being targeted to the entry-level Android smartphones from home-grown smartphone vendors, which thanks to their aggressively pricing have taken market share from Nokia.
Nokia X App store ported for non-Nokia Android smartphones
Nokia’s Android application store, which is present on Nokia X smartphones, has been ported to work on any Android 4.1.2+ device. Not sure why anyone will want this app store, given Google Play or even Amazon Appstore has more applications but here is the the link to XDA thread where you will be able to grab the latest version of the ported Nokia X app store.
