Android 4.4 KitKat is the latest OS of Google, which was initially came out of box along with Nexus 5 and then spread further. Since the release of KitKat, number of devices have been added to the list of updates and mostly were the high end devices. But now as the time passes wide number of manufactures including some OEM have released update, but still entry level devices are out of sight, so if you have any low end smartphone then you have to wait and check out for update or look out for any alternative ROM like Cyanogen or MIUI.
Here is the list of some manufacturer’s devices that have recently got or will get the Android 4.4 update.
Samsung Phones to get Android 4. 4 Update
Samsung’s list of devices for the update to KitKat is an internal Samsung Knox document which was leaked unveiling few devices which are going to get the Android 4.4 update. It is not till known when will they get update.The devices are as follows :
- Samsung Galaxy S 4
- Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom
- Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active
- Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – Update is for UK, India users
- Samsung Galaxy Mega (no confirmation whether the 5.8, 6.3 or both)
- Samsung Galaxy S 3
- Samsung Galaxy Note II
- Samsung Galaxy S 4 Mini
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 3
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
Since the Galaxy S 3 and Note II have been facing a few regional lock issues and due to that Samsung comes up with a major update on these devices, which is confirmed by one of the Samsung representatives. But again, the document mentions it is the U.S. version of S 3 which has 2GB of RAM which might be getting the update, and the International users might have to wait for the update.
According to a report which suggests that the Galaxy S 4 mini, Galaxy S 3 mini, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Ace 2, and the Galaxy Fresh are the devices which Samsung is testing the new OS version on, so it would be a possibility for these devices get the Android 4.4 KitKat, but you have to wait for it.
Sony Phones to get Android 4. 4 Update
Unlike Samsung which doesn’t tells much about their devices Sony has officially updated the list of the Android phones in the Xperia range which are going to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update which are high end and there is almost negligible scope for any further update for low-end or even mid ranged Xperia Smartphones. Since the exact dates are not mentioned by the company, but they would receive the KitKat update sooner.

LG Phones to get Android 4. 4 Update
LG is really conscious and taking care of there products and allowed mid-range phones like L5 and L7 to receive update. The LG Optimus G Pro might be receiving the update little later, but the latest flagship smartphone i.e. the LG G2, will get the KitKat version of Android very soon.

HTC Phones to get Android 4.4 Update
HTC is more concentrated over its high-end smartphone leaving all its other devices KitKat will only be seen on the costlier smartphones.The HTC One Max is to be announced very soon , and that should be having KitKat out of box.
Moreover vHTC has officially named a few devices on its Twitter account , and these are the smart phones which would be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update. HTC’s update to KitKat will be soon since dates are not told but we have a approx date for respective update releases.
