According to the Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma, it does seem as though a future release of Zelda will arrive with a feature that I am quite sure zillions of Zelda fans out there have been keeping their fingers crossed for the longest time – that is, to see multiplayer capability thrown into the mix. Hyrule Warriors does raise the question – will there ever be multiplayer in a full blown Zelda title? Aonuma shared the following when asked, dropping some clues along the way, “When I was talking back about making Zelda more than just a single-player experience? That’s something you will see in the future, maybe next year.”
The Legend of Zelda Wii U is set to arrive next year, so this is the strongest hint yet that the new game will indeed come with multiplayer capability, but until there is an official statement or announcement made, we will just have to take this with a grain of salt. A tiny grain, preferably.
