Windows Phone FIle Manager

Most of the mobile operating system, including Android, Windows Phone comes without any built-in File manager app. In Android you will find a gallery for managing your photos, videos and other media stuffs, while in Windows Phone you will find different apps like Pictures, Video and all. But now it seems like Microsoft is working to fix this issue in its new Windows Phone 8.1 Operating System.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone champion, Joe Belfiore has recently teased an upcoming File Manager app for Windows Phone users on a Reddit AMA. Joe says that this app is almost ready and is expected to come this month. While this app doesn’t come with any unique features, but it is good to know that Microsoft has now acknowledged to provide the File manager feature in its Mobile Platform. As you would expect, this app will allow  you to manage all the files on your phone. You will get different folders on the basis of your documents (check the screenshots for an idea). It will also allow you to easily manage your SD Card.

Microsoft has yet not revealed any specific release date for this feature, but we are expecting that it would release it very soon in the coming days.
