They say that good things come to those who wait, but what about those who have waited for quite some time already, and then are led to wait for an even longer period of time? This is exactly what has happened with both the HTC One as well as the HTC One (M8) Google Play Edition smartphones, where the Android 5.0 Lollipop update was supposed to roll out today, but apparently a delay is in order yet again.
According to the Vice President of Product Management at HTC, Mo Versi, the delay can be attributed to the request for another software version, which means that there is still much work left in the pipeline to be done. Mo Versi did sign off with a promise, however, to inform the masses as to when HTC will receive the nod of approval from Google. There is no distinct information on just how long coming up and testing the new software version will take, but we do know that the rollout is meant to happen in a matter of 48 hours after the folks at Google give their collective nods of approval.
If you happen to own either the HTC One or the HTC One (M8), does this bit of news result in a wee bit of disappointment in you at the very least? We do know that the screenshots for Android 5.0 Lollipop for the HTC One (M8) has already leaked.
