Police Officer Charged With Stealing Nude Pics Of Arrested Women

A California highway patrol officer is currently facing a rather odd charge of two felonies after allegations came his way, citing that he is a photo thief. And not just any ordinary photo, but rather, it seems that the photos he allegedly stole were explicit in nature, taken from the iPhones of the female offenders whom he was arresting. Officer Sean Harrington has resigned since, and he claimed that his actions were part of an ongoing “game” between the members of the police department.

This incident was noticed after a lady realized that messages were sent from her phone to Harrington’s via her iPad. This happened since the lady did set Messages to synchronize between her iPhone and iPad through iCloud, and so even after the message had been deleted from her phone, it still appeared on her iPad.

Identified as Jane Doe No.1 in court documents, she was said to have passed Harrington her passcode in order for her to call someone after being arrested. Digging further, it was discovered that Harrington had already forwarded five explicit photos of the said lady to at least another officer, all the while as she was being processed at the county jail. This should not have happened in the first place, since we are supposed to trust members of the police force to uphold values of justice and integrity. It is a shame, really.
