Google has finally released a major update for its stock calendar app in Android. The new version of Google Calendar app comes pre-installed on the currently rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop devices and will be available in Google Play Store in the coming weeks. It will be compatible with Android 4.1 and above.

With the latest update, Google Calendar is now more beautiful and helpful. The overall navigation has been improved to make it more easy to use. The design is also very impressive. The new update also adds an entry in the Calendar for event-related emails.

“Every time you book a flight, buy concert tickets, or make a hotel reservation, odds are you get an email with dates, times and other important details. But who has the time (or patience) to copy and paste all this into their calendar? In the new Calendar app these kinds of emails become events automatically, complete with things like flight numbers and check-in times. They’ll even stay updated in real time if your flight’s delayed, or you receive another email update,” Google explained in the blog post.

Google has also given a new schedule view in the Calendar app, offering clean and beautiful view at your calendar schedule with photos and maps.
