Acer Iconia One 8 Hits The FCC

acer iconica one 8 fccWhen it comes to tablets, there are dime a dozen models out there in the market, which makes life all the more challenging when it comes to making a purchase decision, especially when you are operating on an extremely limited budget. Having said that, here is yet another Android-powered tablet that has just arrived over at the FCC, which more or less means it is a whole lot closer to a commercial release – the Acer Iconia One 8.

The Acer Iconia One 8 happens to be an 8” tablet (as you will probably be able to tell from its name alone), sporting a 1280 x 800 pixel display alongside a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G Bay Trail processor running proceedings from within. First announced earlier this month, the passing of it through the FCC website would mean it is being prepared for a U.S. release, hopefully.

With its full model number being the Acer Iconia One B1-810, it also carries the code name of Vesper 8. Similar to the smaller Iconia One 7, this particular model looks set to cater to the entry level market, but it does sport some decent specifications such as an IPS display with wide viewing angles, HDMI output, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes, and Android 4.4 KitKat running right out of the box.
